First of all, there are several problems to consider, mainly the ink problem, whether it is
expired or the storage time is very long, both of which will affect the precipitation of
the ink pigment, the solution is to shake the ink cartridge at a room temperature not lower
than 10 degrees to fully mix the pigment . Too many bubbles in water-based ink will cause
white spots, trachoma, water lines and other phenomena on the surface of the printed
matter. The main reason is that the ink system has poor anti-foaming agent, the ink
circulation is insufficient, the water is too large, the pump circulation is too large, the tube leaks,
and the ink is too thin. Solution: Appropriately add defoamer to reduce pump circulation and
replenish new ink so that it does not dilute the inspection tube too much to prevent air leakage.
One of the basic properties of water-based ink is viscosity. The viscosity of water-based
ink is generally expressed by flow time, that is, the time for a certain amount of ink to flow
freely through the viscosity cup under the action of its own gravity. Viscosity is the main
indicator of water-based ink, and the level of viscosity directly affects the quality of printed
matter. The low viscosity of water-based ink will cause disadvantages such as lightening of
the printed pattern, inaccurate printing, enlarged dots, and uneven ink transfer.
The low viscosity of water-based ink can generally be adjusted by blending with the original
ink, or adding an appropriate amount of thickener to increase the viscosity of the ink.
The high viscosity of water-based ink will affect the ink transfer performance of the anilox roller,
resulting in uneven ink color, slow ink drying, paste, sticky, poor leveling and other disadvantages.
The reason why the viscosity of water-based ink increases to cause paste. In the printing
process, the viscosity of water-based ink increases to cause paste. The main reason is that
the ink solvent on the screen printing plate evaporates, resulting in an increase in the viscosity of
water-based ink. : Generally, it can be diluted with water, or an appropriate amount of pH regulator
can be added to increase the pH value to reduce the viscosity of the water-based ink.
